i have two operating systems (both windows 8) installed on my pc on two different storage devices within the pc (The one i use for windows 8 is my ssd) and i have reserved the upgrade for windows 10 but still have been not been able to upgrade for the past 2 months nearly since launch!
is this causing any issues as i had to install a new windows 8 on an ssd that i bought as the OS on the hard drive became corrupted for whatever and began to bluescreen so i thought i would just buy an ssd for the speed and install my win 8 on it!
I do work with computers as a hobby and have a good understanding of them, i also have a fairly high end rig so it the upgrade should not really be taking this long.
My PC Specs for those who are interested:
CPU: FX 6300 @4.6 ghz
GPU: GTX 970 OC
RAM: 8 GB CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT 1600 mhz (i think its 1600 mhz)
PSU: CORSAIR CX 750M 80 PLUS CERTIFIED
MOBO: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
STORAGE: 2 1tb HDD's One is seagate barracuda the other is WD Blue, and a 256 GB sandisk ssd!
CPU COOLER: HYPER 212 EVO
CASE:Fractal Define R5 WIndow!

Solution
Reinstalling it makes no difference, you can do that all you want. And it won't even know you have another one installed. It uses the same key and hardware and that is what the upgrade is going off of.

thankyou, it may just be software incompatibility of some sorts! Have a nice day :)
