[SOLVED] If i upgrade only my cpu of same socket from i3 to i7 , will there be any problem in OS, drivers or installed programs ?

Solution
Most likely you will have to update your chipset drivers and should be good after that. I have only had one instance where I swapped from an i3 to i7 and the system refused to recognize the change. It led to a variety of problems which were quickly solved with a fresh install.
Assuming the BIOS detects /identifies the CPU correctly, you can try to simply boot the system...

The OS might be confused at the increase in core/thread count...

If so, and if you can get to the control panel/device mngr, you might be able to delete the CPU entries, hit reset, and let them be redetected at next power on...
