[SOLVED] If I upgrade to a new CPU on the same Motherboard will I have to reactivate Windows?

Please forgive me for what is likely a stupid question. I have stepped away from building PCs for about 4+ years now and am in the process of re-educating myself.

I currently have an LGA1155 SkyLake motherboard. (MSI Mortar Z170)

And from what I remember I believe I had an OEM version of windows 7 which I got a free upgrade to windows 10 during the time that Microsoft was offering it.

With that being said if I replace my Core I-3 with say an I-5 or I-7 will I have to reactivate windows or perhaps buy a new license?

I am like 99% sure that the windows license is specifically tied to the motherboard itself and only changing the motherboard out would require a new license. I am correct aren't I?
