So basically I build PC's for a living and I noticed that is very annoying that everytime I purchase a new OS for my clients. So I was wondering if there is a way to buy an OS and be able to use it on multiple PC's at the same time. Or even if I can download the windows 10 from microsoft and put it on a usb and then onto a new pc multiple times. Basically I was wondering if there was a cheap way to buy multiple licenses for an OS. Cheers

This may not be a long term solution, however if I am correct- If you buy the non-OEM version of Windows you should be able to install it on up to 5 computers. However, this may have changed. If all else fails you could try to find a bulk Windows re seller :)

It's called a Volume Licensing Key.
Or possibly System Builder.

But if you're passing this OS on to your customers, there is no 'cheap'. Just pass on the actual license price on to your customers.
They will get a legit OS, and you'll have far less problems in the future.

There is no "5 computers" deal.

So your saying there is no way to do it ?

No, there isn't.
If you are repairing a customers PC, either you use their existing license key, or you sell them a new as part of the process. If it costs you $90 for the license, you charge them $90. Your labor is not included in that, and may be a different line item on the bill.

But no, there is no 'cheap' batch of valid licenses, unless you go through Microsoft. And unless you are a large organization, each license will cost you the same as it does me for a single license.
Maybe, possibly, if you go through some other valid reseller...CDW for instance, you could buy in bulk for a bit cheaper.

But if your are passing this install off to your customers, you must pass them a valid, legal OS, that you are authorized to sell to them.
You don't want to get sued for 'selling' a bogus license, do you?

There was with win 7... I know that for a fact as I purchased a kit back in 2010 for around $220 on newegg. It allowed licensed installation for up to 5 PCs.

Yes, 5 years ago with Windows 7. That does not exist today.
