problem in windows 8 not able to shut down and showing abnormal behaviour randomy. sometimes when you shutdown the pc it will not get shut down and showing black screen.
and sometime it will not respond to the command shutdown.
cause - at your desktop click windows and x together by keyboard. and then there are so many option are there click on control panel option. at the above right you see VIEW BY click on that
and select large icons. go to power options and at left side of screen click on the option CHOOSE WHAT CLOSING LED DOES. And then new window will appear and then click on CHANGE SETTING THAT ARE CURRENTLY UNAVILABLE and uncheck the option STARTUP FAST RECOMMENDED. and now you will not get any problem.

Yep, you are correct. I also had issues, not as severe as yours but some minor issues and that fast startup (really it's hibernation) was causing the issue.
