if you do dual graphics with a10 and dedicaded does a10 still use ram or does it use gpu vram?

so i know that if you have a apu the proccesors graphics will take dram from the system, but i was wondering if you add a dedicated graphics card ej. radeon r7 250x 2gb , will the apu still take dram or would it stop taking it or maybe switch to the gpu's vram. thanks and sorry for my bad english 😀

if you have a dedicated gpu then it would use its own vram

an apus gpu has no dedicated vram, its all system ram thats shared with the gpu, which is why faster ram gives big boosts



you are MUCH better off getting a stronger dedicated gpu

no i mean if you have a a10 7860k paired up with a dedicated gpu, in dual graphics, does then the apu keep using ram or does it start running on the dedicated gpus vram? thanks for answerig btw
