If you're looking for a gaming laptop on a small budget, this $449 laptop deal is a winner

Anyone that recommends 8GB of RAM for a gaming rig in 2022 shouldnt be allowed to publish, but the end of 2024? But hey, you get a cut of the sale if someone buys it from the link so its all good...

I checked crucial and it looks like it has user replaceable RAM, so toss in another 8GB module and you're set.
(or slap in a 32GB kit for overkill)

Although I think the real shortcoming of this laptop is the RX 6550M, which only has 4GB of RAM.
And the 7535HS, which is a 7835HS without the iGPU portion, so say goodbye to battery life.

I wouldn't recommend 8GB for the average gaming setup and listed it as a negative, but maybe you missed that part. 8GB however, is perfectly serviceable for most games, and especially for a budget laptop deal that only costs $449 bucks it's easy to add in another 8GB.

I'm not a laptop gamer but this is really cheap. You're not gonna run the latest and greatest on ultra but there are plenty of games you could play with it.I thought the price was a typo considering how overpriced laptops generally are, especially nowadays.

The low price along with the fact that it has the option of being upgrade-able makes it good. A base model to begin your Laptop usage.

A model like this looks perfect for using 'Remote Play' with Steam. Run big games like CIV 6 or Stellaris. Have all the processing done by your main PC and the laptop handles the game interaction. Not great for fast paced games but oh well.
