Hi guys, im looking for any possible solution to this problem that I haven't already tried, basically I get BSOD randomly, but usually rarely over 15 minutes

I have already tried uninstalling Intel 4000 hd drivers, which worked for a short time using DDU.

I'm left with my Nvidia 980ti drivers which obviously are still affected by whatevers going wrong

I cannot update Intel HD drivers through their driver utility, the three options given fail to install from the get go

Manually installing Intel drivers only causes my computer to crash instantly on boot, not even allowing me to reach the log in screen before BSOD, leading to system restores

I cannot update my 980ti drivers, as the install fails within 10 seconds of the install process, with no real reason given other than failed

The only things I haven't tried are tearing my computer apart and a complete reinstall

Let me know what you guys think

Thanks

Solution
Did you ever try running driver booster? it could be another driver is old and stopping the intel from installing. Driver booster at very least should find newer intel drivers and maybe install them.

If you decide on fresh install, 2 things
1. windows 10 may want to delete all the partitions on the hdd windows is on as depending on your bios, it may want to use a newer partitioning scheme to win 7 - so copy everything you want to keep off first; and
2. Disconnect any extra hard drives you have installed when you do it as win 10 may deposit files onto one of them. It likes to scatter copies of the boot record around so its redundant and much harder to destroy.
download and run this: http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed
it looks at error logs and will give us a summary
copy/paste results in here

Also, go here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-bsod-minidump-configure-create-windows-10-a.html
do option one and then under it, do: Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

this creates a file in c/windows/minidump
copy that file to your documents
upload the copy to a cloud server and share a link here

we will see what errors say.

These are for the recent 10 crashes

Since posting, I have not gotten a BSOD, simply due to the fact that i DDU'd my 980ti drivers as well

That seems to have kept the crashing at bay for now

Despite nuking my nvidia drivers, I still cannot update my intel drivers through the utility, I have not tried the manual install

BSOD every 15 minutes, I would have fresh installed by now. Especially if this was an upgrade... did you update from win 8? Its just cause the Intel drivers say they the win 8 versions though its possible they never renamed them.

If you upgraded a fresh install should fix this. IGD shouldn't be even active, I don't have the drivers installed for mine. PC should just use the 980

you can get a program that will create a Win 10 installer from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Did you ever try running driver booster? it could be another driver is old and stopping the intel from installing. Driver booster at very least should find newer intel drivers and maybe install them.

Solution
I'd installed it previously but I never had an actual chance to get it to properly run before crashing, but now that i don't have NVIDIA or Intel drivers installed i'll run it

For some reason, my NVIDIA drivers are updating now, i'm hoping it works, if not, i know what does, and i'll give the driver booster a shot, obviously a clean install is the last thing i want to do so it'll be my last resort.

Thanks for the help, i'm hoping like hell this works, but my hopes arent exactly up for it

Clean installs aren't that bad, if you do it in your own time, and not be forced into it. If you have everything saved you need to keep then win 10 takes 21 minutes to reinstall, the fact it will never have 300 odd updates is also a big bonus (over win 7). Only downside then is it depends on your internet connection speed as to how fast you get everything else back. Steam folders can be re used so if its lots of games you don't want to lose, thats easy fixed.

Clean install of win 10 makes it a better OS as its more stable than the upgrades.
