I'm using the Asrock ab350 pro4 with a ryzen 5 1400. I'm stuck in a power cycle where it stays on for 25 seconds, no display on monitor, then turns off and on again to repeat the cycle. I've moved ram around, tested each stick in each port, removed the gpu, cleared cmos, even tried my brothers cpu and nothing works. The only way to fix it is to unplug the 8-pin connector by the cpu. Obviously this doesn't help much so i'm at my wits end. If anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful.

Oh. Not sure what to tell you then. If you've got yet another computer around, I'd try plugging in the gpu to see if it's working ok. If this is a brand new rig, is your psu also brand new?
Also if this is a new board, open up your mobo manual. It should have troubleshooting lights on it that may help diagnose what's going on. Edit: Actually never mind on this last idea. I read through it and I don't see anything about ez lights.
If no spare rig around, I'd take the gpu (or the whole rig) in to repair shop to get tested. It's hard to tell what's going on, if this is your mobo not recognizing your gpu or some issue with the gpu itself or even the psu not testing out ok. With no display and no other error indicator, it's only guessing...
If you can get into bios, make sure you have at least bios 1.3 cause that's earliest that cpu is supported. Changing to a different cpu might not help if that cpu is intel on an amd motherboard which does not support it.

He has a Ryzen CPU, which is an AMD one. It's a new CPU on a new socket. There can't be an older bios that doesn't support it, as this isn't an upgraded socket/board/system. It's new, all of it. I don't mean to come down on you at all, but you are the second person I've seen today suggest it's a bios problem. Ryzen CPUs HAVE to be supported by all AM4 board. There can't be any AM4 boards that don't support a Ryzen CPU yet because they came out together.

Does it work outside the case? Perhaps you are grounded by a misplaced standoff? I'd also pull the CPU again and check for bent/missing pins. What are the full system specs?

I mentioned cpu incompatibility not because of his own cpu but because he mentioned he tried it with a brother's cpu with no success. Considering that we don't know the model of the brother's cpu, that might not mean anything, so I made sure to let him know not to conclude anything if the cpu was from intel. Read his original post carefully.

Second, the entire ryzen lineup of cpus did not in fact get released on the same day. Ryzen 1400s were released a few months later.
When you look at the link for the mobo, you can clearly tell as different bios versions correspond to different ryzen cpus. So no, they don't have to all be supported out of the box, as long as they release bios at some point to support all the later releases. This has been an issue in other threads as well. This may not be in fact his issue, but it's worth double checking.

if it not a cpu/bios issue it can be ram speed setting issue. try one ram stick or another stick of ram. if the error still there try a test power supply or use a volt meter make sure voltage ouput from power supply is good. also on the mb case wires. unplug all of them and use a screw driver to turn the mb on. may have bad case switch or plugged the reset swtich into the wrong pins.

Ya I've already gone through everything on that list to no avail sadly. Would you happen to have any other ideas?

I would have tried removing the gpu but you don't have integrated graphics so that doesn't help as you've discovered.
As was mentioned, memory is another common culprit so that's next to check. The checklist I gave you is terrific for new builds and if you've just assembled your computer, definitely go through it.
If this is something that used to be working but now isn't anymore, then try taking out your gpu and putting it into another computer.
I'd have said go into bios and check where your temps are but without any display, can't do that.
Can you connect your monitor to your gpu via a different connection. DVI? VGA? Anything else.

Yup already tested both sticks in all 4 slots seperatly. The my brothers cpu is a brand new ryzen 1400, same as me. I had just built it last week and its never gotten past the power cycle. I first tried DVI, then HDMI and still no display on monitor.

Crap. It does sound like a gpu or psu issue, hard to tell which. You've tried plugging the gpu into different pcie slots?
Also if your brother has a rig that's actually running, with the same cpu as you, try taking out your gpu, and then putting it into his computer. See if you get the same thing on his machine.

I didn't try it outside the case, just built it inside it. The build is: Ryzen 5 1400, motherboard, msi armor gtx 1060 6gb ocv1, geil evo potenza 16gb 3000mhz ddr4, EVGA 500B 500 watt bronze power supply, corsair spec-03 case, 258gb samsung ssd, 2tb seagate hdd. I checked the cpu already for bent pins but didn't see any.

no my brothers one isnt even built yet, we decided to build the same rig with the same parts, so i'm hoping to solve this issue before that so we dont have two rigs collecting dust.

Does he have the rest of his parts there? Can you try his gpu with your rig? His PSU?
You're certain your gpu power cord is plugged in correctly?
