[Update: 3/27 - Moving thread from Systems to PC Gaming.]

Hello everyone. While playing games, I receive the exception code 0xc0000005 at certain moments of the game. The game suddenly closes without any error. How can I solve this?

These are what I've tried so far:
- memory diagnostic
- cpu diagnostic with intels software
- turn off xmp from bios
- format my pc
- sfc scan
-reinstalling game

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

The error code is likely a result of the game attempting to access memory that the game should not be trying to access.

The game you are playing is HeartStone - correct?

Source? Have you tried reinstalling the game?

Thank you for your reply.

I've edited my post. Yes its hearthstone. I've tried reinstalling the game.

By source - where did you get the game?

Also look in Reliability History/Monitor for any error codes, warnings, or informational events just before or at the time of those "certain moments".

And add more information about what is meant by "certaIn moments".

What are you doing or trying to do?

I downloaded the game from the official website of the game developer, Blizzard.

When I look at the Reliability History right now, I can't see anything other than the information that Hearthstone stopped working before or at the time it happened.

I get this error in the last round when I'm certain to lose the game. I do not have this problem at any other time. When you're about to lose the game, an animation plays when you run out of lives. I think it might be related to that, but I don't know. I can't be sure because It crashes right after the last round started without seeing the animation.

The error is not triggered by any action I take.

Regarding:

"When you're about to lose the game, an animation plays when you run out of lives."

That is a clue.

Reliability History/Monitor is end user friendly and the time line format can reveal patterns.

Dig into the problem a bit deeper using Event Viewer.

Requires more time and effort to navigate and understand. However, there is more detail provided.

Just take your time to methodically explore and get a sense of the data/errors being captured and logged.

Look for entries just before or at the times the game was being lost and the annimation appeared.

My thought being that some system resource has gotten close to or over some limit and the animation is too much. Game crashes/closes.

A second thought being to move this thread over to PC Gaming. Someone in the gaming community may recognize the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I think we can move it to PC Gaming.

You said that this problem is caused by the game trying to reach a place on the processor that it shouldn't. So I wonder if the game's current incompatibility with my processor could be the cause? In other words, could it be caused by the game?

If the game plays then I would not expect a problem with the processor itself.

Barring the game requiring some processor specifications/requirements that your processor does have.

The animation simply hitting some threshold where "no animation = ok" then animation happens and suddenly "NOT ok"....

That said, it seems to me that the error is memory related - versus processor.

Google the error code and do some reading. Revise the search criteria as you read and learn. You may discover something that is happening that has not been noticed and/or thought relevant.

Multiple reasons for that.....

I wonder if this problem is not related to my computer but just the game itself? I tested the memory with both memtest86 and Windows diagnostics. I did not encounter any problems with them.

It may indeed be the game - just as a matter of eliminating other possible reasons.

And, someone in the gaming community may have experienced the problem or otherwise may have heard about it somewhere else.

Late thought: have you posted to the game's forum?
