I just changed my cpu from a phenom II x4 to a fx 8320 x8. and when i booted it up it asked said CPU has been changed and asked me if i wanted the settings on default. not knowing what that was about i just clicked yes (im not sure if this even matters in my issue or not but i just thought it'll be helpful)
i have asked about this issue before and heres the link
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1767707/low-fps-game-dragon-nest-good-fps.html

I'm still getting 20-40 fps in the game. lowest was 15ish. Ive heard the game caps at 60fps. but i just dont get it why im not having AT LEAST a consistent 50-60fps with my setup when i have good 100-150fps on other games with better graphics.

the people who helped me in the previous thread said its not because of my gpu but because of my cpu since the game is more cpu-based. but ive changed my cpu to a better one now. oh and heres my heaven benchmark results today.

Thanks in advance and i hope you guys can help me out!

You should be able to run this game on max fps definitely. Maybe there is a problem with your driver or your temperatures of CPU/GPU are going too high? If that's not the cause then this is really weird..

is there a way to find out the temperature of my cpu/gpu? well when i was running the heaven benchmark thing. the temp peaked at 48-50C. im not sure if thats the cpu/gpu one.

@jay i have a gigabyte ga-970a-d3 mobo. and a corsair gs700 power supply

@jay i have looked at that before but i dont think any of those are my problem. when im just standing still or in a part of a game where nothign really happens my fps peaks at 58 . but when i start doing dungeons or go where theres some stuff happening it goes down to 20-30. even with medium/normal settings. actually theres not much diff from having high settings.

and for the temp of my cpu/gpu.
CPU: 43C min 54C max
GPU: 44C min 50C max

It means it reset any changes in the bios like overclocking. Your cpu is set to 3.5ghz?
I have the same cpu but i have mine at 4ghz and i don't have any problems.
Do you have an aftermarket cooler? If so i would try overclocking your cpu to 4ghz to see if it helps. That game might not be coded for multithreading and using 1 cpu core

You could buy an aftermarket cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler as long as it fits in your case.
Then it would be as simple as changing the multiplier in the bios. It's very simple and i could assist if you like

i would really appreciate if you can assist me. but would it be okay to overclock it even with the stock cooler? cuz i really cant afford a cooler right now. i was plannin on buying a water cooling system next month tho if thats any good.

I don't think it would be smart to overclock with a stock cooler.. Your OC CPU temperatures will be higher than on non-OC CPU.
An aftermarket cooler is always a better solution than a non aftermarket cooler, so whether you will OC or not, I am highly recommending you to get one - lower temperatures means better performance. Also, you increase the life time of your CPU :)
