I officially give up on any laptop or handheld device that use LCD screens.
I own A LOT of expensive devices that uses LCD screen and ALL of them shows problems in LESS THAN A YEAR of use:
1. Macbook Pro 13in Retina (late 2015): muras 5 or 6 bright spots. Apple refuses to recognize it as a faulty unit since the pixels work fine.
2. Razer Blade 14 (2016): muras, white streak running horizontally at 1/3 of the screen, spent 230$ sending it to Singapore for waranty since my country Vietnam have no Razer service center. they sent me a new one and that one had muras too after a few weeks. I gave up on sending it back and lived with it.
3. Iphone 6s: muras: 2 bright spots and 3 dead pixels. Apple refused to do waranty since dead pixels count is less than 5.
4. Alienware 13 (2017): muras, AGAIN.
5. Nintendo Switch: stuck pixels
6. NVidia Shield tablet: muras
7. Ipad Pro 9.7in: muras, still no waranty from Apple.
8. Canon 750D camera: muras
...
The list goes on to less expensive devices.

My PS Vita uses an OLED screen and no problem after 5 years.
My Galaxy S7 Edge uses an OLED Super Amoled screen and no problem after 2 years.
The only LCD screen I have no problem is the Dell U2515H monitor I'm using.

Really. What the hell is wrong with the LCD techs and manufacturing?

I can't really speak with much authority on this, but the laptop I had from work a few years back didn't exhibit any issues.

Mom's Samsung tablet is several years old, no problems with the screen. Likewise with my Nexus 5X phone, as well as the older LG Optimus L9. My dad and son both have LG phones that are a few years old, though my dad upgraded over a year ago to a Samsung.

Likewise with my brother's OLD laptop (we're talking WinXP and Pentium 4 days - the battery is toast, but it still works when plugged into the wall), and his Windows phone.

I had a monitor once that started failing because the power switch wouldn't work. The replacement one turned out to have a dead pixel in the middle of the screen, but once I showed them...

Couple of other monitors, too, of varying ages.

So, I guess for me, issues with the screen are an exception rather than the rule.
