Question I'm having problems configuring my WiFi Extender ?

I purchased a WiFi 4 Wireless Extender and am having a difficult time configuring it. The device SSID shows up on my phone but not on my router which is 6" away.

What are the manufacturer and model number of all the hardware involved?

WiFi 4 no other indication of manufacturer other than CHINA. My Router is a Tp-Link Archer A7.

An extender, you probably have to go into the admin pages of IT and select your primary router SSID. WDS may not work between these two devices.

Thanks but don't understand what it is your suggesting. Can you be a little more specific?
