Hi Gang

I have a Dell Precision Workstation 3620 - 3.60GHz Core i7-7700 - using it for Video Editing 1080P. I would like to get a decent 3.5 Internal SD Card Reader for Video; (with the card removed from the camera).
Would any old Multi-Media Card Reader suffice?

Thank You

I'm guessing the OP wants to add another hard disk and there aren't enough internal SATA ports or space to mount a 3.5in drive inside his case. Who knows?

This wouldn't be a problem in a larger case, like my old Lian Li V2000 Phenom 955 system. The lower compartment houses 12 hard disks, so no real need for eSATA. I can only fit 5 hard disks in my 7950X case.

Hey There Mr. Moonstick (nice to see you again)

And BTW, let me tell you again how much more skilled and patient you gentlemen are compared to Dell Telephone Support. Depending on who you're conversing with, some are unprofessional and insulting.

Ok so with regard to esata, since I do film editing and music, I require several externally powered enclosures.
I shouldn't have any power concerns in that regard. But I do need the 3rd slot down for a 2 port esata controller card mounted in the (PCIe x4) slot on the 3620 Workstation. If this situation puts an end to the discussion of an internal USB card, in order to install a Multi-Port Card Reader, my only recourse would be an external Multi-Port Card Reader and hopefully externally powered as well.

Thank you all for your professional patience as skill .....
