im looking for a way to automaticlly sort files

is there any software that anyone could recomand to sort files into folders by type (and unzip the original files)

(need to sort over 100k files on a nas and quite a few are zipped from downloading backed up folders from dropbox)

Isn't this built into Windows? At the top of Windows Explorer hit View, then hit Sort By, then choose file type

I have over 22k folders and more then 100k files from photos to zips to exes to jar files.....

im looking for something that could take it all and sort it all into folders by file type. windows 7 doesn't seam to work for this

heres what im looking for

1. file is downloaded into a folder
2. a program automatically detects the file type and moves it to a folder
3. done

Sounds like a far fetched program but who knows... It could exist. So I'll leave it to the others
