hey noob question here.

I'm looking to upgrade my RX 6700 XT GPU to a 9070 XT (open to the normal 9070 if its a massive upgrade in your opinion over my 6700 XT) and was wondering if my Thermaltake 650w 80+Gold PSU is sufficient.
My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

I really don't want to upgrade PSU if I don't have to.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

my PSU (Thermaltake 650w 80+gold)
Thermaltake is the brand of the PSU while 650W is the advertised wattage of the unit. 80+ Gold is the advertised 80+ efficiency rating for said unit. What is the model of the unit and it's age?

I'm looking to upgrade my gpu to the 9070xt
The Sapphire Nitro + is the one that will come with the horrendous 16pin connector, you will need to change your PSU for sure. Which one are you looking at?

It is a Toughpower GF1 premium (2021) and i have had it since 2021. For your second question I'm really looking at all brands.
