I'm new to building a PC and i'm wondering if these parts are compatible or not

Core i7-7700 does not fit in that motherboard. Try a Z270 model.

Sorry, but the 3xx series of Intel based motherboards only support the 8th generation of the Intel Core I series processors (Core I7-8700 would be the processor you want).

Everything else was fine. You just need the newer processor (or older motherboard as Calvin7 suggested).

Why are you getting a 7700? If you are gaming primarily, even an 8400 would be better.

A 7700 is not overclockable so I would get a B250 chipset instead. If You want to get an 8400, get a b350 chipset.
