I'm new to pcs and was wondering which would be the best budget option for me

I can't afford a ryzen build yet so I have an amd fx 4300 cpu on a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 and a asus strix 1050 ti oc. I was wondering if the 8350 would be a better upgrade for gaming and rendering than the 6300

For learning purposes why is it not that good? I've read a lot of mixed saying its great for budget builds and others saying its bad but never consistent on either end.

It's old and outdated. In games you would probably see that even a Pentium G4400 and Ryzen 1200 would beat it in performance.
