So first of all I was thinking to get a Graphics card That could run at least DirectX 11

However I was thinking that would it be compatible with my computer that has a Nvidia 9400 GT?

Yes it would. Your motherboard and Nvidia 9400 GT have PCI Express x16 slots. The new one, GTX 460, has the same one so yes.
