I've been playing some older and newer games and my FPS has not been anywhere I would like it to be. I'm playing at 2560x1440 and I have 165hz G-sync monitor.
This is my current rig
R5 1600
x370 pro
16 GB DDR4 3200mhz cl14 ram
gtx 1080 ti
760w seasonic psu
The oldest game I have played on my system is The Witcher from 2008. I had very poor fps in that game also, though I am aware it somehow cannot use the whole power of R5 1600 and gtx 1080 ti.
I'm currently playing Mafia 3 and my FPS is way below 100 most of the time. Not even lowering resolution helps it..
Can I increase my FPS all of my games by switching to i7 8700k in older, present and upcoming games?
Would you switch? I plan to do absolutely no overclocking since that's not my cup of tea.
