[SOLVED] I'm trying to determine what kind of screw that's holding my hard drive caddy in place.

Can anyone tell me what kind of screw that is? Is that a stripped Phillips head screw? Or is it a different kind of screw?

It looks like a "torq" screw, one that's been badly damaged by somebody trying to remove it with the wrong tool.
If the head is indeed damaged, I don't know how you'll get it out.

That's a stripped out phillips. You really only have 2 options here:

1. Use something like a Dremel and a cutting wheel to cut a slot, then use a standard screwdriver to remove the screw.

2. Try to grab the head of the screw with needle nosed pliers and slowly twist it out.

Either way that screw must be replaced.
