For gaming, unfortunately, no. iMacs' are really bad for gaming.

I almost bought a iMac 3 years ago, but I didn't when I realized that I could not game on it. Gaming on a $1200 iMac would be like gaming on a laptop. And I researched more and found out that a $1200 pc will outperform any iMac in all games and is able to be updated.

iMacs perform much like large laptops. They really aren't designed to be strong gaming rigs. This rig should be fine at medium and lower graphics settings in many games, but not really suitable for higher levels of performance.
