Question iMac CPU upgrade

Hello everyone

I want to upgrade my iMac's CPU which is currently a 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5. The iMac in question is a 21.5 inch, Late 2013 model, which has been fitted with 16 GB of RAM in replacement of the standard 8 GB.

Are there any iMac compatible CPUs that I can purchase as an improvement on the i5?

That CPU is a BGA processor. This means it is soldered to the computers motherboard and non-upgradable.

You cannot upgrade the CPU.

Sadly not, It doesn't have the K suffix meaning it's overclockable.

It is a locked chip in an OEM motherboard. This combo cannot be overclocked.

Even if it could, the IMacs cooling would likely not handle an overclocked CPU.
