I've built a new system, installed Win 7 Pro-64 & attempt to create a backup image of my fresh system. Backup tools can't seem to find my Hard drive. I thought I might have left over boot info from previous XP build, so I rebuilt again with a different HD: same results. The new system appears to work fine; I just can't back it up. I've tried Redo; Win7 B&R, and 3 Paragon Software Tools (B&R9. B&R11, B&R12): All see no Hard Drive.

Is it running from a bootable CD? If so, it likely doesn't have the drivers for the controller on your new motherboard. May not be much you can do about it.

Which image software are you using?

You may try Macrium Reflect Free, which can image your drive from within windows.
