Question Image quality drops a lot when I activate HDR and I'm not entirely sure why ?

Hey guys, recently I turned HDR on for some games like Horizon Zero Down, Sniper Elite 5, Watch Dogs Legion. I am a bit disappointed because the image quality drops a lot when I activate HDR and I'm not entirely sure why.

I have the latest BIOS&FIRMWARE from ASUS website for my monitor, latest NVIDIA DRIVERS(RTX 4090), but the problem is still here.

I'll attach 2 pictures. HDR and no HDR so you can see too.

So, what can be wrong? I changed the HDR brightness from windows/game, the HDR still makes the games have some sort of white-ish/gray background and no enhanced colors like HDR should have.

Have you tried turning down the brightness to zero? Hdr makes things a little darker with contrast. If you have your white point peak/brightness up high it may be washing out the picture.
