I have an image of a working drive here saved as an iso.... How do I load that to a formatted drive so it will function like a clone of the other ?? Thanks

Is this an OS drive? Or just a secondary drive?
There are ways to image a drive...creating an ISO is not one of them.

The os is in this image..... This hdd image was sent to me to repair a game that no longer has a drive so I am starting with a fresh drive and the iso.....

what tool did you used to create the image?

usually hard disk images are not iso format, acronis, norton, clonezilla, all of them uses different types of files but none is iso

can you use clonezilla to create a image that can be restored by using clonezilla later?

What I have is an img file not iso I'm sorry ..... I don't have access to the donor disk.. Just the img and my blank hdd

img...ISO...not much difference.

Yes, CloneZIlla can make an image to be used elsewhere.

The issue here is we don't know exactly what is contained in this img file.
The whole drive, just one or more partitions?
What OS was it originally?

It's a whole os for a Megatouch ... Those are Linux based

Megatouch.
A touchscreen game console/arcade thing?

You'd almost certainly need original or equivalent hardware to resurrect to.
As for that .img....do we what tool/application was it created with? You'd almost certainly have to use that same thing to undo it on a new drive.

I have no idea what was used to image the working drive .. But I know the file I have has been reused I just don't know what tool or process there is to it
