Hey guys!

I need some help from you. I want to purchase a gaming mouse but I have a hard time deciding which one should I get.

My options at the moment are:

Logitech G502
Razer Deathadder Chroma
Roccat Kone Pure
Roccat Kone XTD

I have fairly large hands and I think (I am not sure) I have a combination of palm and claw grip.

Here are some photos with me holding my current mouse.

Please give me some pieces of advice and let me know which one should I pick and why. Also..let me know if you have other better options for a gaming mouse...and also tell me which mouse pad should I get for my new mouse.

I mainly play FPS games (mostly Battlefield 4)

I am waiting for your answers.

Best regards,
Ilie Mihai

Solution
as you had said before, your grip is a mix between claw and palm. its actually similar to the grip i use on my razer deathadder except that my hands are not as large as yours.

the deathadder is a fairly large mouse and should work fine for that type of grip. the kone would likely work as well.

i have tried out the g502 myself (i would also hesitate to call it the best on the market!) and its really quite a nice mouse but is too narrow (as above) and the scroll wheel is one of those you love it or hate it type of deals (it has hyperscrolling or a really horrible clunky clicky feel you can select between). it did not work for me (i needed a wider mouse and i couldnt deal with the wheel) otherwise its great. i thought the button layouts...
What about my grip type? What grip is it more exactly? and which mouse is more suited for it?? I am scared that the mouse I will buy will be too small. Also...I 'd love the g502 (is the one I like the most) but what about the problem with the feet peeling off? And is it long enaugh? Also..is it durable?

The feet on your existing mouse are more likely to peel off than off the G502. Your grip is fine for the G502. You can measure your existing mouse and compare the dimensions to the spreadsheet I provided above.

Although the G502 is the best mouse on the market, it does have a few annoyances.

The buttons on the left mouse click zone are too close and can be accidentally clicked.
The mouse is a tad too skinny.
The cracks in the edges gather dust.

i'd say the deathadder or similar size/design of mouse would be ideal.

Solution
i'm on my second deathadder. the mouse itself is fine but i wore out the switches from how many times i click.
since the switches can wear out on any mouse and CAN be replaced with a little solder (i need to do this so i have a spare again) its a non issue.

i find that no mouse is as comfortable to me as my deathadder (though i do prefer the old 3.5g version's texture the most)

i got about 5 years or so of hard use out of my first one, and if i put switches in it i'd be back to square one ready for some more abuse.

I really do not kbow what to choose. I initially looked at the deathadder 2013 but they no longer sell it in Romania..they only sell the chrome..which is kind of the same price with the g502. I like the design on the g502 better..but i do not know if it would be too narrow for me or not. Unfortunately i cannot try them..as they are not exposed anywhere. i have fairly large hands so the longer g502 would suit me better...but i do not kbow if it is too narow for my likibg or bot. Can you describe your experience with it a little more? Grip wise I mean and the way it fits into the hand

painful. (at least for me)

since the g502 is more narrow than the deathadder and has a different right side profile i found it easier to grip using both my pinky and ring finger on that side. however, due to the shape my pinky curled under and after some time i experienced some discomfort.

with the deathadder i can typically grip the mouse with my thumb on the left side, ring finger on the right (if i need to lift it) and i let my pinky drag on the mousepad flat and experience no discomfort at all.

now, this might just be do to how i hold mice and my hand shape/size or the fact that my pinky curls a bit from extensive mouse use so may not affect all people (if it did the mouse would never sell!) so i can only really say how it felt to me.

the scroll wheel was my other issue... as i said before it has two modes. hyperscroll (which i dislike quite a bit because it is not accurate in games and can move on its own) and the really bad clicky scrollwheel (it feels like you are rotating a gear over a plastic rod giving you a really bumpy not very clicky type wheel. its probably not going to wear (get less clicky) like most wheels do over time but it did not feel right to me at all.

otherwise, i thought the length, left side of the mouse, button placement and performance were perfect. i just could not live with the 2 problems i experienced despite getting the mouse for $40 due to a cash register mixup (instead of the $65 it was marked as). i returned it 2 days after i bought it.

I would not recommend Logitech products since their gaming software used for custom macros on keyboards and mice f***s up Windows sleep mode. I just purchased a SteelSeries Sensai [RAW] gaming mouse for about $55 and it works much better than my old Logitech mouse, even with the SteelSeries Engine 3 software running. It's a bit expensive, but worth it.
