impossible to install directx 9.0c

Good mornning !

I need to install directx 9.0c, but it is impossible : when I launch the
installation, he just tells me than all the component are installed.
Nonetheless in dxdiag it's still directx 9.0b. What should I do ???

I tried to :

- reinstall directx
- remove directx before reinstalling it

DirectX gets updated to v.9.0c when you install the Service Pack 2.
