Improve pc with low budget

I wish I could improve my PC, to be able to run GTA V in recommended configuration. But I do not know what I should change.

This is my current PC.

Processor: amd A6 - 6400K
Motherboard: GA-F2A78M-D3H
RAM: 8 GBB (800 MHz)
Power Supply: Generic


As I was able to find out, my processor is an APU.

Sorry man, but unfortunately if you want to run GTA V in the recommended configuration, you are probably going to need a whole new system.

You MIGHT be able to get by with a mid tier graphics card and a good power supply upgrade, but honestly, that CPU is going to seriously hamstring your efforts. My advice would be that you look into a lower end Ryzen CPU, motherboard, DDR4 memory, mid tier graphics card and a decent power supply.

I understand that sometimes that's not possible to do all at once, so for now, if necessary, I'd look at a good mid tier graphics card and power supply, which could then be moved to a better platform (CPU, motherboard and memory) at some later date. In this way, you gain something in gaming performance, but you don't lose anything when you upgrade later.

That B3 550w unit is not good. It blew up in the testing done by Aris. Only the 650w model of the B3 series is worth even looking at, and there are better units for the same price or less in most cases.

Other than that, that's an ok build option there.

Thing is, he might not even need a new case depending on what he already has. This is why we typically wait for answers before going all gung ho on slinging builds out there. But I see why you did so it's all good.
