Improving my fps

IVe been wanting to get more fps in games I've been playing like playerknowns battlegrounds and I was wondering if there's anything I can do to improve it.
I'm running the game on ultra low and I find it hard to play although I still get decent fps I'd like to raise the settings, my pc is a i7-2600 3.4 ghz 8 Gb ram running a GTX 660 is there anyway I can improve performance on this system ?

Are you running 1080p. The 660 is not only weak but only has 2gb VRAM which for 1080p is really enough for the latest AAA games. Even my 780 3gb can run out of VRAM if I'm not careful with the settings.
