Hello guys.

My PC
CPU ryzen 1300x
GPU Geforce 1060 3gb
Mobo MSI A320M PRO-VD/S
RAM 16gb 2 sticks Crucial 8GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16 Ballistix Elite

I have a question when i am in the bios it says ram frequency 2400mhz.

I have tried to put it on 2666Mhz but after that my PC will not start and after restart in Bios there is again 2400mhz.

I think my Ram sticks are same at least on e-shop store there were identical in terms of names and specs.

Hovewer there is different labeling on top of them. One one stick there is BALLISTIX a under that elite DDR4 on second one there is BALLISTIX under that by Micron.

They were not bought on same time.
Hovewer i am sure by the stats they are same.

Is there anything wrong with mobo or with the ram ?

Or is it normal in dual channel frequncy is lower ?

Thank you for answer guys.

Those two RAM modules were not tested to work together, even though they appear to be similar. The IC chips, as you saw on the label, come from different manufactures.
It is not recommended to mix RAM modules that were not tested to work together, since it is hard to predict the outcome and that's why they default to that speed. To be sure that RAM will work together you will have to buy RAM kits that were tested to work together.
That's why manufacturers and vendors won't provide support for that configuration.
Check for BIOS updates which could improve RAM compatibility.
