In market for new monitor

Ok, heres the deal. I'm rebuilding an old gaming rig I built about 5 years ago. I need a new monitor so in an effort to save some cost I'm going to be keeping my ASUS Strix GTX 970 GCU and upgrading to a ryzen 7 2700 CPU new mobo and some ram. I'm looking for a decent monitor that my 970 can handle as well as compatible with an upgraded GCU in the somewhat near future. I'm willing to spend about $300 but the cheaper the better as I'm also pondering a dual monitor setup.

I have the newer version of this monitor and it's absolutely fantastic, games look amazing and text is fine. IPS will have better colors over TN/VA panels and 75hz is good for smooth gameplay.

I just got this monitor tonight. Just finished playing about 4 hours or so on it. Seems like a great display. I think I'll be pretty happy with it.
