In need of a router with only 15 Mbps of Internet

I am currently using an Arris SB6141 modem. I've been looking around and there seems to be good word on some pricey Asus routers but with a speed of 15 Mbps, wouldn't I be spending more than what I need? What would you guys suggest that should be sufficient? Three people will be using the Internet at most, but most of the time it will just be me.

router is probably not going to be your bottleneck. almost any router today will work wayyyy faster than 15mbps so just get whatever covers the greatest area. look at the devices you have and see if they support N. wifi is broken up into a few speed categories, A,B,G,N,AC almost nothing uses A or B anymore and most are backwards compatible anyway. id get something with N support for a little bit of future proofing though

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've just unearthed my old Belkin N150 router and I was wondering if I should upgrade to a dual band router instead? My dad is especially fond of using YouTube on his phone or on the TV.

naww the dual band is probably over kill and only really works if you're close to the router. but if i can recommend anything get something with a piss load of antennas. i find the more antennas the thing has the happier everyone is. also place it about table level. wifi works better when it is on the same plane as the receiving device. but the N150 should be find. if you find it doesn't reach everywhere then upgrade. you also probably dont have many device with dual band
