To start these are the specs of my pc I that bought used, two years ago from Facebook for only $320 bargained from $350.
CPU - i5-4690 CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Cores, 4 Logical Processors
MOBO MANUFACTURER - SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS,
MOBO PRODUCT - DM301S3B-C25,
MOBO VERSION - SAMSUNG_SW_REVISION_12345+0.0.000
System runs on ssd - 120GBs
Games run on hdd - 1TB
GPU - GTX 1660 SUPER VURRION
DDR3 8GBs of RAM (2x4)
FYI, I just ordered a new set of DDR3 16GBS Hyperx FURY and as of now it's on its way. Im ordering it cus when I looked up on YouTube there were vids of the same specs as my pc as it turned out that it can still run most games, the only thing is that the vid has 16GBs while I only have 8GBs, so that's why I ordered them. The reason why I ordered them is because over the past 2 years I've noticed games that I usually play start to lose frames.
The real thing I wanna ask is what type of cpu is best to upgrade that is compatible with the motherboard. I tried looking up what type of motherboard it was but it showed up a Samsung desktop which made me think that maybe the guy I bought it from must've took the motherboard and just slapped in other upgrades and made It a gaming pc. I'm not looking to buy a new motherboard cus I don't wanna be spending much money. Just want you guys' opinion and maybe knowledge cus I don't rlly know much about pc's. what I know is that its and old pc. If I need to buy a new motherboard that just means I need to just buy a new pc right? let me know guys.
