Hi all,

I just finished my first build and things are up and running well. I don't have a gpu yet but it will come in time.

What I am looking for is some good monitoring software where I can check the fans, cpu temp, and stuff like that from windows. I always see people posting cool little pics of fancy looking monitoring apps. Whats a good one that I should download?

Also, what can I download that will give me info like fps and all that good stuff while I am playing a game?

What can you all recommend? If it matters I am on an ASUS 270E mb with a 7700k and 16g of G.Skill Trident Z rgb ram.

Thank you all!

Yes it does. Once you run it, check 'sensors-only' and then when that window opens click on the settings symbol, then there's a tab called "OSD (RTSS)" and you can show any value in the OSD (on-screen display).

NZXT CAM is cool looking and gives an FPS graph as well as many others. My only complaints with it is that the fan RPMs on my GPU is wrong (always zero) and it shows the cores of my CPU and not my threads.
My favorite monitoring software is HWiNFo64 because it has amost every detail you would want to monitor except FPS, which I dont really need anyways. It isnt very pretty either.

msi overlay seems to work fairly well, but the display and clean look of CAM is way nicer. I wish the overlay in CAM worked as advertised because I think thats what I would use.

I couldn't agree more with you. I had trouble getting CAM to display properly on my system, didn't feel like messing with it so I just use MSI Afterburner or Fraps if I just want fps.
