Have to agree. With possible exception of their lowest models, they are "elegant;" but I'm not sure if they're all tinkerers' cases though.

[citation][nom]eklipz330[/nom]corsair carbide 500r white. i fell in love. shudda picked it up when it dropped to $85. guess i gotta wait for it again[/citation]

I bought the 500r in white for my build its the best case I have ever had. I used to only buy high end coolermaster cases but I took a chance on the corsair. I will never go back to coolermaster the 500r is awesome in a reasonably sized package.

If I ever decide to move to a smaller enlosure the 500R or something from Lian-Li will be on my short list.

I hope the Antec Eleven Hundred makes this list...

For me it was a tossup between that or the Corsair 600/650D for my build. I was willing to shell out a little extra for the form factor of the Corsairs. But the internal USB 3.0 header did it for me. The pass-through method that Corsair uses is out-dated and ugly. It's unconscionable that Corsair can charge 150-200 for a higher end case without internal USB 3.0 support when Antec can do it for $120.

A Word of Warning on radiators in the Carbide 300R: An amazing case as it is, The Article mentions that Radiators, and specifically the H100 will work in this case. This case is NOT designed for top-mounted dual-fan radiator use like the one in the H100). I personally took on the challenge of trying to shoe-horn an H100 into this case, and I was able to do so with Scythe ultra-slim 12MM Fans, But many motherboards would NOT fit, even in this situation. These fans stick down far enough that they are even with the first row of screw-holes in an ATX motherboard. If your motherboard has big heatsinks or connectors along the top edge, they will block you from installing a radiator in this case.
The case over-all is magnificent, I have no complaints with it, other than that they have not put up for sale the accessory kit containing a bracket to install an additional 4 drives (Note above the bottom HDD cage, there are more rail slots, and mounting holes on the opposite side to hold the opposite rail slots.)

It would help others to know how high their motherboard heatsinks can be.

I'm sort of surprised the Antec 1200 isn't on the list. That case is beautiful; plus gives a wide array of support for massive air flow javascript: void(0);or liquid cooling.

[citation][nom]spookyman[/nom]Guess the purchase of a Cooler Master HafX case was not good?[/citation]I haven't a clue, Cooler Master sent a case but you'll have to wait for Part 2 to see which model.

Yeah, I will measure it, keep watch on this thread for the next few days. Also, Corsair has finally released the extra HD cage for the case, allowing you to put an extra 4 drives in.

Whoops, wrong person quoted there, Meant to cite Crashman.
