My criteria were:
Visual Satisfaction - Ahh, but this is completely subjective. Some people value lights and flash, some like the more understated look. Some cases may be considered "ugly" by many people, but this is always going to be an opinion, never something empirical.
Cooling Capability/Potential - True, and the review here shows the MK-I pretty poor in GPU cooling.
Size (Lets be honest the Full sized case Has the most potential)
- Perhaps, but you also have to take other factors into consideration, such as how much space the consumer has available on/under their desk. Full towers may have the most room for cards, drives, and fans, but bigger doesn't always mean better. If a mid-tower has enough room for the most common mix of drives, fans, and multiple GPUs and still has acceptable cooling and acoustics, isn't it nice to get the same performance but in a smaller package?
Layout (The layout of the MK-1 begs to be utilized)
- Considering it's about the same as the vast majority of cases, how so? Wouldn't that mean that most other cases also "beg to be utilized"?
Lack of Useless features - Please define a "useless" feature? Just because it's something you won't use doesn't mean others won't appreciate it. A side window is a "useless feature" to me since I don't care about seeing internals, but that doesn't mean many others don't like them. Things like liquid cooling tubing grommets and external drive docks don't get used by a lot of people, does that make them "useless"?
Lack of Hindering Features - Honestly the fractal design is "Simply Awesome" but having to open the door to better increase the air flow is a hindrance at some point, I mean the whole reason it was redesigned so much was because so many ppls systems were constantly overheating. i was once a vicitim of such a design flaw, i lost a Gigabyte Motherboard because of the first fractal... i overclocked my cpu without adding a liquid cooling system and i just dont wanna get into it
- Again, this is largely subjective. I'm not a huge fan of the top cover on my Raven, but considering how infrequently I need to get to the I/O panel, it's not a big deal. If you didn't take proper airflow into consideration when you did your own aftermarket overclocking, should the heat buildup be blamed on the case?
Includes USB 3.0 - No arguments there, but this is also becoming more common.
User Friendly Design - i doubt even a amateur would have trouble figuring it out, and an advanced user will love some of the not so obvious features
- Certainly, many cases are fully toolless and offer easier installation than others. But I'd also argue that this is becoming something of a norm and that a case has to do something pretty special to set itself apart.
Overall Potential it isnt the best of everything but it has more than a fair share of everything, and in that sense i think its the best. also its got this groove with wire management slots, on the inside of the edge that i put some lights on and hooked up to a pressure switch now when i open it lights come on , no need for a flash light, its like a refrigerator.
Potential is going to be left up to the end-user and what they even want to do with it. I am glad you seem to enjoy yours, though.
