in what way can I do a clean install of windows 7 after having windows 8.1 on my computer?

I tried installing windows 8.1, but now I would like to have my computer back to install windows 7!!

put windows 7 CD into your computer. follow steps. You will format you HDD in the process so save important data first.

What OS did your system orginally come with? Without more info or a list of specific problems I can only recommend the basics. First of all you need to have a Windows 7 installation disc of course as well as the unique product key that goes with it. If you have any important files back them up and make sure you check the manafacturers site and download all of the drivers. Most importantly chipset, usb, lan, and wifi and back them up either on disc on flash drive. Depending on your storage space get all the drivers you can starting with the ones I mentioned. After all that insert your Windows 7 disc, reboot, go into BIOS (usually by pressing F2 as soon as system turns on), if your BIOS has the options turn off UEFI and enable Legacy Boot and change your boot priority to load your disc drive first. Exit Bios press any key when asked and follow on screen directions. If you know how I would recommend custom installation and deleting any partitions until only one option is remaining.
