I have a Perixx Wireless Mouse I got not too long ago. It's suffering from that problem that mice sometimes do, I guess, where while you're trying to scroll down a page, for example, as you scroll the wheel the mouse is constantly wanting to jump/scroll in the opposite direction that you are rotating the wheel. It's absolutely infuriating after a while. It's gotten to the point where I'm mousing over to the scroll bar to drag it to where I need to get on a page, or whatever.
I did look into this, and found it's the sensor that gets dirty or fails. Tried to take it apart, but this model doesn't want to fully come apart - and I'm an avid "take it apart"er. I blew some pressurized air in there and gave it some spirited scrolls to try and clean something up.
Is a solution to this happening buying a quality mouse? I mean to ask if this happens on "higher priced" mice (or mice with better sensors/components in them, basically)? And can someone give suggestions, please?
I hunted for a good (vertical) mouse for a whille before I bought this junk (which is also too small for my hands). I need to replace it asap! It's also not very ergonomic, and hurts my wrist.
I'd like to not spend $100 cad, but I'd like any and all suggestions. The MX vertical I've seen from $120 (sale I think) to $160 cad. And Evoluent mice are about the same price.
Well, thanks.
Oh - by the way, is that type of scrolling behavior where one's "scrolls" have "inertia" or "momentum" achievable in windows somehow?
Thanks.
