So, this is an issue I've had since I put my build together. In short I can't get my GPU to perform the way it should consistently. More often than not when I enter a game my frame-rates are far lower than they should be. I play a lot of Splinter Cell: Blacklist and that's where the frame-rate issues are most noticeable, however the problem seems to affect every game I've tried thus far. Most times when I enter the game the frame-rates linger at around 25-30 fps, when I restart my computer (sometimes) this issue disappears entirely and I get a solid 60 fps (all on ultra settings). It usually takes at least a couple restarts before things start working properly again. I switched the settings in my bios to only use the PCIe slot for graphics, so I'm pretty sure it's not switching to integrated graphics. It could be a v-sync issue I guess but even when I turn all off the v-sync settings in game and in the nvidia control panel the problem persists. Also, my temps seem solid: 30 degrees on the GPU when idle and around 50 under load. I'm using the nvidia experience launcher to track my frame-rates in-game. I'm at the end of my rope here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
