Incorrect CAS Latency

I have G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

I ran CPU-Z and it says it is CAS 11; but it should be 8.



How do I correct this?

all mb read on the dimm what called the spd info. on the dimms the 1600 and faster are set on spd as intel xmp profile.
in the bios there should be a setting to set the dimm speed to xmp. most time in under the over clock part of the bios.
if not you have to switch from auto for the dram speed to manual and set the timing yourself.

That took care of it. Apparently, in the Bios, the RAM was set to Auto. I had to select an xmp profile.
It was a simple quick fix. Thanks a million man.
