I have just installed British Airports (Eastern) but on my first to Stansted
(EGSS), I find all the aircraft are offset from the parking centreline and
consequently interfere with the airbridge scenery.

My assumption is that there is an AFCAD file somewhere that needs to be
removed, but even removing all bar the new one and the stock one (which I
don't think I CAN remove?), I still have the same problem.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Tim

Install AFCAD.exe from Flightsim.com and do it yourself.

Sorry, but I don't find that an especially helpful reply as it stands,
though perhaps if you could expand on it?

I already have AFCAD on my PC, but I was hoping someone else in here uses
the payware British Airports scenery (aka UK2000 Airports by Gary Summons)
and has had a similar problem, and consequently the knowledge to resolve it.
I would have thought that the purchased scenery would have things in the
right place, so I guess it's something on my system that's causing the
problem and need suggestions on where to look.

Why have AFCAD if you aren't using it?
Bring up the airport, alter it, store it. Simple.

Tim

Might get better advice from UK2000 forum (I have found that very helpful
when I had similiar problem with EGCC)or Just Flight if you have installed
from CD

Tim,

It's always worth looking on the website for the scenery as it has lots of
files here:

http://www.uk2000scenery.com/afcad/index.htm

The main site is http://www.uk2000scenery.com/main/index.htm

I think this answers your question unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Regards

Geoff

I may end up having to do that I guess, but I thought I was most probably
doing something wrong as I would like to think the payware scenery is
right...though perhaps that's a vain hope!

This probably won't be much help but when I first installed Heathrow Pro not
long after buying FS2004 I noticed the runway markings didn't line up with
the 'layer' below. After a complete re-installation (unrelated) I installed
Heathrow Pro again tonight and everything is fine. From memory the only
thing not currently installed as before is the VFR Scenery for SE England.
Visit the product website as advised before doing anything

Have you downloaded the Addon Scenery AFCADS from www.projectai.com and
checked to see if there is one for UK2000?

Have you done a search at the www.avsim.com file library for the airport
name and/or ICAO code to see if there are any AFCADS there?

Hope this helps,

Yes,..you can't always assume that stuff is correct. You can also have
trouble if there is more than one AFCAD "bgl" file for the same airport. For
example, I might in AFCAD create a customization of my hometown airport KTAZ
and save the changes as AFKATZ.bgl. Then I download Joe Blow's Scenery for
KATZ and he has within it a AFCAD file called AF-JBKTAZ.bgl and it gets
installed. Now I have the original KTAZ, my own customized one, and then
JB's version. Both mine and his take presidence over the original, but mine
and his conflict and one of my parking spots ends up right we JB placed one
of his building and now my 182 is sitting in the receptionist's chair of the
Office building.
