Hi All,
Sorry for being a total luddite!
I was about to start a thread about my Mobos Ram usage ( or lack of it), however I see there are many posts on this, basically its using half its installed RAM.
Now, doing all of the general checks ( including finding 3 slightly bent CPU pins) I am no further forward until I decided to check my motherboards permitted RAM
I got the motherboard, CPU and RAM from a friend for free as a project...its old, but as it was free, i gave it a shot.
Windows 10 home 64bit
ASUS Sabertooth 990fx R2
Phenom II x6 1090T 3.2 Ghz
2 x 16GB Corsair Vengence ( only 16 GB useable)
The Ram is ok as far as I can see, however the above RAM doesnt show up in the latest approved vendors list from ASUS
The nearest RAM 1600mhz i can see has timings 9-9-9-24 where as mine is 10-10-10-27 and 1600mhz 1.50 V
Is there anything else i can do with this RAM to get more out of them or am I looking at selling them and getting something else?
Many thanks for reading#
