Hey everyone

So I've been using a lot of graphic mods (26 to be exact) for Fallout 4 and the game now draws more than 2GB of my HD7870. System RAM was drawn and needless to say how bad the fps dropped.

Is there anyway to increase my VRAM? The GDDR5 ones not shared RAM they bottleneck the system so much right now.

I've heard that you can use 2 separate cards to increase the total pool is that true? My motherboard is a GA H77 DS3H which is more than enough for this kind of configuration I guess.

I thank you.

Solution
You need a new video card, the GDDR5 is soldered to the card itself.

Adding another video card you will still only have 2GB VRAM, the contents of the RAM is shared across both cards, same is true for SLI as well.

2x 2GB cards in Crossfire or SLI = 2GB Frame buffer
