Increase in overall temperature since new fan

Hey guys.

Ive bought a new cpu fan yesterday (Spire The Max II) which is almost 3 times larger than my normal fan. Since I installed this fan, my CPU temperature dropped immensely (from 65 degrees while gaming to 40). Bad side is, since I've installed it, the temperature of my GPU rose a lot. It now hits up to 70 degrees while gaming. I guess it has to do with the massive heatsink on this cpu cooler, which limits the airflow.

I have a AMD Phenom II 3.4ghz quadcore CPU and a Sapphire HD7770 1gb GPU. My case should cool a lot since it comes with 5 stock fans and is quiet big (Zalman Z11).

Is there anything to worry about and are there any good ways to drop my GPU temperature?

Also, when I use speedfan, it also shows other temperatures which are sky rising, but it says: Temperature 1/2 etc so I don't have a clue what that actually is, but these temperatures increased a lot since I bought the new fan.

Thanks in advance

- Bram

also, do you have both fans installed onto your CPU cooler?

In regards to zachparr's question, the new cpu fan may be so much faster/pwerful, it is effectively pushing air to the rear fan faster than the rear fan can pull it out. Also, the wind pressure will slow down back case fan.

Either way, your GPU temps are fine. You can add a fan facing your GPU (blowing air at it) from the front of your case, may help create better airflow current.

It's blowing directly into the back exhaust (approx 8cm away from it)
