Independent boot of 2 separate Windows 7 HDD.

I have an Alignware that has a HDD with all my personal programs and file.
I now wish to add the HHD from my work laptop so that I only have to carry the one unit.
Can this be done and can the different HDD's be booted independently and if so how do I setup the system.

2 OS's on two different drives are no problem. Choose the relevant drive at boot time.

1 OS from a completely different machine may be a problem. For various reason, it may well not boot.
