Hi guys,
I've been searching the forum before posting but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
Anyway, I have noticed in task manager that when sorting the columns by CPU usage, the Windows Indexing process is always running on top, although not using much of the CPU (about 1-5%).
Now, as I really need to use the search feature in Windows, I don't want to turn indexing off.
My question - with a most likely obvious answer - is: won't I be able to use the search field in explorer if I turn off the indexing service? Or even, will I be able to find what's been indexed already only?
Any suggestion, please?
Thanks

Search still works, its just slower

Turn it off:

I had to as I found it was endlessly starting and never completing. So indexing was always running.
Every start it would start counting from 0 and never finish. Next day would start again.
