It will not allow me access to it. It has been assigned the letter F as its address and ESP as its name. Its size is 296MB, of which 49.2 have been used. After a little bit of figuring out what it is, I found that it is the partion of the main drive, an HDD. However, its file system is listed as FAT32, like a removable drive. It showed up while I was actively using my laptop, not after rebooting if for an update. Should I be worried about this or is it harmless?

Solution

Probably harmless. ESP stands for EFI System Partition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EFI_system_partition
