[SOLVED] Infected HDD... The Sequel

So I finally got a clean PC to diagnose HDDs on and I used AOMEI Partition assistant to try and activate the Infected HDD and it shows that I cannot. I even tried using disk management and it shows "Incorrect Function" on both MBR and GPT Partitioning. I looked on disk part and it shows 0 Bytes available and 0 Bytes used. I've tried surface scanning the drive and it does nothing, I've tried to scan the drive with an Anti Virus Program (Both Windows Security and Avast) and it only scans my C: Drive. I really want to get this drive fixed and cleaned so I can put it in a PC to sell it.

Make and model of your HDD that's infected? Also, if the drive was infected with ransomware, you might want to rethink your strategy on unlocking it. I suspect the malware you got onto your drive might've done a number on the HDD.

It sounds like the HDD has an internal fault. If CrystalDiskInfo cannot display the SMART attributes, then that would suggest that the drive cannot access the reserved firmware area on the platters.
