Hi, I'm Matteo from Italy, and this is my first message here.:D

2 months ago I've bought a new Acer notebook (V3-572G-596M) and its hdd is a Toshiba MQ01ABD100 with 1000 GB.
The notebook is working fine, but since the first days I've noticed a strange thing: the SMART value 0A "Spin retry count" is raising up almost every day.
Today the value is 141 ... Its RAW value is 0, so I cannot understand why that value is raising so fast.

Acer says that the value may be different using different test program, but I've used 4 programs (CrystalDiskInfo, Hdd health, Hd sentinel and Speccy) and the value is the same.

Is there a specific Toshiba HDD test ???:??:

Here there is a CrystalDiskInfo report:

Acer is wrong. All SMART test programs retrieve the same SMART data from the drive. The only difference is in how the author of the software interprets the data.

In your case the Current value of 141 increases as the drive's health improves. I would only be concerned if the raw value changes.

The Spin Up Time value of 0x699 (= 1689) probably corresponds to 1.689 seconds.
